Cris Heer provides therapeutic services, divorce mediation, and specialized consultation.

Christine M. Heer, has been with Bunker Hill Consultation Center since 1995. She has been practicing as a Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years, specializing particularly in trauma and related treatments, conflict resolution and building healthy relationships.

Ms. Heer is a nationally known expert in domestic violence. She has authored several articles and has appeared in many media/television specials on the subject, including "Domestic Violence: Faces of Fear" with Diane Sawyer. Ms. Heer is a sought after trainer in the areas of Domestic Violence, Ethics for Mental Health Professionals, Conflict Resolution, and Diversity in Relationships.

Ms. Heer graduated from Rutgers School of Social Work in 1987 and Rutgers 's School of Law-Camden in 2001. In addition to practicing Social Work, she also practices family law and serves as a founding member of the law firm of Heer & Lyons LLP.

Ms. Heer is also a skilled mediator who, by using her social work and legal experience, maintains a sharp focus on the practical needs of her clients and the benefits of real life solutions for real life problems.

Ms. Heer is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers, serving as a member of the Legal Defense Fund Board of the National Association in Washington , DC , the Delegate Assembly representing the New Jersey Chapter, the NJ Chapter's Committee on Inquiry and the Personnel Committee, and has been a task force chair in the past. She has also served on the NJ Association of Domestic Violence Professionals Board and the Board of the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties .

Ms. Heer has been acknowledged by peers and professionals with the Honor Award (NJLGC), the Community Service Award (GAAMC), and the Colleague of the Year Award (NJ Coalition for Battered Women and the Mary Philbrook Student Public Service Award.

Her academic teaching credentials include the adjunct faculty of Rutgers University and guest lecturer at Drew University , St. Elizabeth, Seton Hall, and Montclair University . She has also been a trainer for numerous organizations including NJ State Police, National Association of Social Workers, National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and Lucent Technologies. She was a founder and trainer for Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Team Program.
